Help my duck egg! is this a blood ring or not?
i have been raising a duck eggs, it is 14 days old and i candled it today. there is the little dot then all the veins, but around it looks like a blood ring, doesn't that mean its dead? but i can see its heart beating, and the embryo will move around a bit. is it dead or alive, is the thing a blood ring? should i give my duck egg a little more time? Blood rings are a sign of death BUT IT MIGHT BE A MISREADING!Don't give up yet,if you see the little heart beating and the embryo moving,it is probably still growing, leave it in the incubator until the "expiration date"don't give up hope! it might hatch! Jay | Read more 21 whole eggs a week...good or bad? Hi peeps, I follow weightlifting & eat 3 whole eggs everyday for breakfast plus all the other muck (oats,olive oil,banana). I've never been told that eating that amount of eggs a day is a bad thing, by other people that follow weightlifting, study nutrition+do bodybuilding. But people from outside the weightlifting ring tell me different (from what they've read in magazines & word of mouth). I've never had high blood pressure or heart disease [let me guess, people are gunna tell me that's a good way to go about getting those 2 things]. Can anyone lay down the facts as to why 21 eggs a week is bad? Only because of the fat level in the yolk. Although both parts of the egg contain protein, the white of the egg contains more protein, so if reduce your egg to one whole egg and 2 egg whites, you reduce the fat levels and still get the benefits of the protein.
