What antique jeweler marked rings with "Pd" inside a heart?
I recently bought a sterling silver (925) ring at an antique mall. Inside the band of the ring next to the 925, there are the initials "Pd" (capital P, lowercase d) inside a small heart. Does anyone know the name of the jeweler to whom this mark belongs?

I bought a ring from an antique store and i'm not quite sure how old it is, of it it might be worth something?
It is 14k with a heart that has more hearts around it. it has three small diamonds in the hearts. but that isn't what might make it worth something. on the inside it reads: 7 1876 14k artcarved. i know that art carved is a jewelry store that has been around since 1850, so maybe the 1876 means that was when it was made. but i don't know. haha please help(:

can you post a photo? The cut of the diamonds as well as the design of the ring will reveal how old the ring is. I don't know if artcarved put the date of manufacture in their rings.

Which engagement ring do you suggest?
I've narrowed it down to these, and would like some feed back. Cost isn't an issue. Blue is her favorite color, and I know I want a Blue diamond to win her heart. Three is a theme for us, and I was thinking of getting a three stone ring, but not sure if I should get a 'traditional' one stone ring instead. Any advive? In my honest opinion I love the blue diamond. They are also more expensive then reg diamonds. BUT if this is an engagement ring you say, then when you wear it dont you want it to say "im married"? Honestly if I seen the 3 stone blue diamond rings on a women I would never guess they were married or even engaged since they look more like coctail gemstone rings. So my choice is number 2. It's unique yet classic with the larger blue solitaire with a vintage look that looks really classy rather than gaudy and the surrounding smaller diamonds will be sure to give it that sparkle with every movement you make compared to the 3 stone w/out diamonds (my least fav) which will not sparkle at all since the darker the stone, the duller it is & the less it sparkles. Who wants an engagement or wedding that has no bling bling? I dont know if its just me but the 3 stone ring styles like the other two remind me of styles I mainly see elderly women wearing. No offense to the older ladies but you have to admit as we get older we seem to like our perfume stronger and our jewelry gaudier am I wrong. BTW Congrats if this is for you. What is you're engagement ring like?
We are going engagement ring hunting tomorrow in London tomorrow, I'm VERY excited! I have my heart set on something antique/vintage style. Everyone I've spoken to seems to be really concerned with diamonds - how big etc. I do like diamonds but I prefer them as an accent stone. Do many people have sapphire, emerald, ruby or other gemstone engagement rings?

Who cares what other people have. Congratulations, first off, and secondly I like the vintage style you're going for. I think combining a diamond with other precious stones in a vintage setting will be very eye catching and beautiful. Not to mention unique! I'm jealous, lol :-) Good luck!
